Give to indoor enrichment
Enrichment is a crucial part of our training and rehabilitation program. It helps pets heal from the trauma they have experienced and be ready for their new safe lives with their families. Daily enrichment provides mental stimulation, fosters healthy bonds with people and other pets, promotes good behaviour, reduces boredom, and alleviates stress.
Winter is always a difficult time for us trying to keep pets stimulated indoors when the rain is heavy, or a storm is looming. In lieu of outdoor walkies, our team sets up indoor obstacle and agility courses, sniffer treasure hunts, and food puzzles.

Give to keeping pets warm
With winter upon us, we are experiencing increased costs to keep pets warm and healthy through the cold nights and rainy days.
We need help funding crucial care over winter, including heated flooring to keep aching bones and bodies warm post-trauma and treatment, blankets, bedding, and covers, hay and sawdust for our equine.

It’s amazing to have somewhere pets can go like Pet Refuge. Because that’s the heartbreaking thing. If it didn’t exist, I would have had to probably re-home him. And that would have been my worst nightmare.
