For many pets arriving at Pet Refuge, their veterinary needs go far beyond a general health check. Last year, 63% of the pets we helped needed additional veterinary treatment.
Sadly, we often care for pets who have experienced significant physical trauma, as well as pets who have been denied access to basic veterinary care. This can mean serious or chronic health conditions have gone untreated and require an urgent response when they reach safety.
Our onsite vet clinic means our team can provide much of this care directly, but emergency procedures, diagnostic testing, medication, surgery and specialist treatment can come with significant additional costs.
Your gift to our Emergency Vet Care Fund helps us respond when a pet urgently needs treatment, so they can receive the veterinary care they need while safely in our care.
